Upper management must make enough bonehead decisions this is a regular thing. Which is actually good they recognize the need for catharsis.

maaaayyyybe that's why the graphics department didn't have much in the funding. Too many broken desks and head injuries.

This post reminded me of a halarious moment in high school. An entire class of 27 students planned something... I was apart of it.

about 30 minutes into Trigonometry class, someone, somewhere, would yelled out "GRAVITY CHECK!!!". And suddenly, the entire class would smack there heads on their tables and did not put them up until that same person yelled "IT WORKS!!!".

Sure enough, 30 minutes in, someone from the back of the room screamed "GRAVITY CHECK!!!". And suddenly, THUMP! All 27 students had there heads down for 2 whole minutes before the person yelled "It works!". During those 2 minutes, the entire class was completely silent, not a SINGLE word escaped their mouths.

The teacher's reaction was priceless. At first he was confused, after a while (like 15 seconds) he finally realized what we were doing. So, he walks up to the front of the room, (I was sitting in the very front desk at this time), and walks right on front of me. With my head down, I see him rag-doll on the ground

I also love the small detail of how the onomatopoeia for when the supervisor hits her head on the desk, says "HEADDESK!" and nothing like "THUMP!"

@Spazzmatt Haha, that "Gravity check" story is awesome :D Sure beats what we did in high school calculus class... it was Christmas season, and there was a boom box quietly playing "Sleigh Ride" (the instrumental version) at the back of the classroom. Every time a whip cracked in the soundtrack, we'd (about 18 students... honors-level students, no less) all clapped our hands exactly once. It drove the teacher absolutely bonkers because it made it seem we weren't paying attention to her :D (which is sort of true, in retrospect...)

XD i've actually been so overwhelmed by a fellow student's stupidity that i have headdesked in the middle of class, the teacher just smiled and said rather loudly "I know rite?!"

Say what you want about the lynx girl, she DID defuse the situation. Instead of thinking about horrible past decisions they're focussed on her, which is better... sorta.

@Jan, I think the lynx lady should have a name, that way I can ask you for her phone number without any confusion. I volunteer to give Jessie and her supervisors massages, they look like they could use it, and I know I could use some time massaging a lovely lady.

It's odd being a sehlat. She looks really cute and has a sehlat personality, so I am attracted to her (she does need to do something about the pain inflicting thing, though). I am usually more attracted to canids, especially wolves and foxes, as they are often more sehlat like, personality wise.

I use XML files for my website database (I find them easier to update, since I'm addicted to text editors). In many of my files, I have the attribute "headdesc"

That sound/visual combo... I'm actually impressed.

Every time I try the headdesk thing... all I get are thud/thonk/bonk/or thwop sounds... and swirling Tweety-birds or stars/anvils/roadrunners/clovers visuals. Wait... strike the clovers... as that's Lucky's charms. ;)

I also agree that cute lynx girl here... definitely deserves a name.

Hey, Jan. Why not call the Lynx supervisor Lince Lynx. (For the uninformed, Lince is Spanish for Lynx. Call it an inside joke just like a lot of the names in a story I'm writing.)
