I know that Wolf is not delusional whatsoever. But I cannot think of the right word to describe this other than "Batshit crazy in an awesome way."

@Jan Given that Wolf is a computer geek rather than a car geek I bet he reaches the mechanical engineering machine shop and only then realises he doesn't know which of the many wrenches on display is the socket wrench so he ends up dragging a sack full of everything the machine shop had in the hopes that one of them fits those lug nuts. This doesn't end well.

You are not the only one, Kensei. Though if he does, I do wonder how he'll get out of the hot water he's put himself in? Maybe he'll McGyver one of the chairs or couches in the detention room they throw him in and use it to eject himself from the building.

Speaking as a college student who is currently on a college campus with crutches, I am insulted by this comic.

The handicapped button is not acceptable to push unless one is handicapped on my campus, but no one enforces this law anyways because, even though cops aren't around, no one wants to push the handicapped buttons since the doors take around 15 seconds to swing open here (unlike what may be seconds in this comic). And there are several double doors, so one must press the button again, meaning one must wait at least 30 seconds to get through the building entrance; many times, those handicapped resort to simply getting someone else to open the door open for them.

Your understanding of handicapped button doors on campus is infuriating. Of course, I am only comparing this to my campus...

Also, speaking as someone who is sometimes a cartoonywolf, I would think a wolf would need more than just a socket wrench, but this is wolfram wolf...

There's nothing wrong with non-handicapped visitors using the handicapped button, but it's best not to because there's a possible chance that someone who is handicapped and/or carrying heavy things that require the use of both hands (without a buddy) may need it, but there isn't enough or any energy.

So, it's best to save the energy that the handicapped button has for those who aren't ambulatory or who is but is carrying very heavy things that require both hands.

@Indagare: Upper body strength be damned. I had to change a tire a couple of times. I got the lug nut to loosen by putting the wrench on it and STANDING on the wrench! Those things go on tight!

@Vandal: I think he's more of a science and engineering geek myself. You saw what he did to the sofa bed. And it worked.

@E. Mousie: Yeah, this is Wolf we're talking about. You say he'll need a left-handed spanner, he'll go and machine one. If you say he needs elbow grease, he'll take the next logical leap and build a mech.

@Kensei Seraph: Nope. I'd like to see this not only succeeding but turning out better for him in the end. That will serve the professor right for dismissing his theory on donut emission!

Okay...I wonder how many other students Prof. Bullsworth has angered. I could imagine Wolf finding the tool cabinet empty, wandering off to find another source of hardware, and finding other students with similar motives clustered around Bullsworth's car, taking it apart...

Actually, such doors usually move slowly for the sake of safety. What would matter most is that they stay OPEN long enough for someone to get through without difficulty.

After years as a college student, Wolf has finally figured out that he could press the button, and the door opens. Wow. Prof. Bullsworth probably let him go because of his lack of academic advancement, not because of his 'doodie' vocabulary. As a handicapped person (who relies on things like that), just as long as people don't break that button, I don't care if they use it. But leave the handicapped parking free for people who need it, please.

this reminded me of one of the "Rogue Warrior" books by Richard Marcinko: one of his people had been arrested by the FBI, and Marcinko was able to rescue by exploiting a really silly security loophole: the "smoker's door". a door always left unlocked to people could step outside to smoke!

@Jan I'm in America, so technically I can be considered American. Currently, we Americans are quite easily offended and enjoy satire. :p Sadly, sometimes satire and reality blend too much together. . And yes, my campus has a somewhat de justo law for the handicap button; some policemen have gone up to people and reprimanded people for just jokingly pushing it. Apparently, in the past, some people pounded the button, some buttons broke and some people hit the buttons and smacked some people straight in the face/ caused them to spill some things. All of these caused a heck of a lot of trouble...
