LionkingCMSL, I made basically the same comment on Jan's Weasyl account page. It's nice to know that artists go through the same problem that writers do.

I'm glad that Jessie has gotten over her mistake she make with the CEO's photo. LOL.

Creative process?? That's every single work process I've been in for the last 40 years. As soon as you solve one big problem, the universe (or the boss, whoever) conjures the next one in front of you, and of course it's a bigger one...

The one upside with this analogy is that, with every climbed mountain, you get better at climbing mountains :-). Jessie seems to know that, she doesn't climb in her leather gear but completely unusual (should I say out-of-character?) in more casual clothes. Now there's the learning curve.

Anor-Roc Wildheart: that's for advanced task-solving or mountain-climbing analogy, not only the artist can slip and has to climb the whole thing again, some guys can come around and tell you "no, don't climb that hill, we have more urgent things to climb, client want these [points to Himalayas like range] to be climbed first!"

Or finding out after you climb that mountain (or finish that task) that there was a road on the other side or cable car that could of made the climb a heck of a lot nicer. See an old Laurel & Hardy episode called the "Piano Movers", where they take an upright piano up a really long & steep stairway to deliver it to a house on top. Then finding out from someone who lives there they could of taken a road up there, very funny.

Having written fiction for almost 30 years now I can empathize with her fully, the most difficult step is facing that blank page/screen and making the first mark, be it a drawing line or a single word. If she ever needs someone to rub her shoulders, just have her give me a call.

If I offer to rub anyplace else this message will be ban hammered with a real hammer...

@Golux: Maybe crampons (sp?) because I think pitons are meant to be hammered into a rock and stay there. If she had finger pitons she wouldn't make it too far.
