I taught 7th and 8th grade and every day after work I went to the gym and nothing motivates you to keep moving like pure hate and rage fueled by students. I lost 50lbs one semester.

Shiera, now you know why I will NEVER be a teacher. LOL. I didn't know Shiera slept sans clothing. Niiice! LOL.

Our teachers didn't have to worry (that much) about being pelted by stuff as someone in the class would try it once... then we'd find out how most of them reacted.

Which was to smile at the student who threw the offending item, walk out of the class to the public landline (our school had a blanket ban on students having cellphones on them during school hours), and call the police. The child would then be removed by the officers, and taken to the police station and put in a holding cell, where they were then either picked up by their parents or if the parents couldn't make to the station, delivered to their home in a clearly marked Police Van. And given an official caution.

I was more of the see what wasn't filtered out by the school computers... And online games.

Poor Shiera. Not only she was the last person in the polls (not my fault, btw...), but she has to come up with these little monsters. I never understood why kids have to be like this, even when I WAS their age... Well, there are several jobs I clearly admit I'm not strong enough for, teaching children is one of them. Kudos to Shiera.

@Antarian_knight Maybe not. At the schools I went to, anyone who got hit with chalk dust needed running water and a fair bit of scrubbing to wash it out of their hair. One balloon's worth of water would basically turn it into a thin layer of concrete.

@EXos: it seems to be if they are not sleeping in different rooms, they at least use different beds. Compare her bed and cover with Phils from the previous comic, they are a bit different. Maybe Phil snores? :-)

@Exos, Soriac, and OmegaWolf: Could be that Phil got up earlier, he is a health freak after all, and the difference in covers could be that the scenes are on different days. Though I will admit that Phil's bed looks likes full size and not anything larger.I would think if they were sleeping together they would have a least a queen sized bed.

Aren't Shiera and Phil actually married? I seem to remember an early '9 to 9' where the gang discusses whether being named 'Mrs. Horse' was confusing her students.

Why apparently separate beds..., who knows?

In it Jan says, "It must be confusing for the kids to call her Mrs. Horse." and Phil replies, "Oh... We haven't tied the knot, yet." This means they are just living together at this time.

Had a friend who taught fourth grade for a few years. He quit and joined the Sheriff's Office, said it was less stressful
