What should Wolf do for Nap Box^tm version 2?

I guess second version will contain quadrocopter or hot air baloon (ideally with parachute!), but myself I'd rather use big mirror and position it as sun moves. Imagine how many houses you could burn down by accident!

Path finding ability and linked to your day planner. That way, when you wake up, it’s taken you to where you planned to be.

Actually I think Jan should have said "It was a nice nap up until that point."

Because from the look of things Jan did have a nice nap. I think Version 2 should be water proof as well as have an alarm clock that lets you know when it might be moving outside toward a pond or danger. And when to get up.

Also, I want to see Wolf and Jessie go on a date. And Jessie enjoys it! Wolf x Jessie forever!

Well, it did do what Wolf said it would do. Jan is partially at fault for leaving the door open.

Well, if this isn't really good enough to sell to Uber as a self driving box ...

-The box obiously needs to be amphibious. So water proof, sturdier, a keel and some means of propulsion on water.
-Wiring and batteries need to be on the inside to make them less exposed. Batteries at the bottom can double as heaters. -Bigger weels and a suspension maybe? For an evensmoother ride? Inflated tires on the side could additional buoyance and stability in water. -One of those whistles that usually are on life vests? Obviously not a whole vest that would be too much of a sefety feature. - More powerful motors and a 360° Lidar to allow for better collision avoidance. - Included life insuance policy

Just electronically (and hydraulically) lock the main door between 4pm and 8pm. Problem solved. Or just drain the pond. And install a bigger motor with bigger batteries, because the reliable Tim Taylor technique of "mo' powah!" would fit right with Wolf.

(Is it just me or is there some spiritual link between Tim and Wolf? They are both quite prone to backfiring innovations. And it's correct to say: "I don't think so, Wolf")

Version 2 of this "thing" ? Maybe a pillow-floater all around the box . And another box to protect the battery ................... And an order to forbid to Wolf to come close of it ? ^_^"

Maybe Wolf should have included something like an auto-shutdown if it leaves a pre-determined location or encounters a wall.

@Jan should've made that as an AMA, with 9t9-Jan getting swatted furiously while hovering just above their house and Wolf trying desperatly to get it under control (futile attempt, because Wolf, you know ^^ ).

It didn't so much "malfunction" as it exceeded it's expected programming parameters. A bit like Lore from ST:TNG. ...I just got slightly nauseous at the thought of Wolf creating an android....

All good suggestions above, I think the simplest is just adding a finite area it's allowed to move before it shuts down. Making it larger than the door opening would just invite it's OS to try to find ways to get through anyway.

And Jan, you got 2 solid hours of sleep on that nap. That's better than I did last night.

Version 2...well, aside from some GPS algorithm which prevents the box from leaving the house, maybe Wolf could add...

-alarm clock

-internet-enabled slide out cup-holders

-collision avoidance

-RTG power source

-Perimeter defense system

-Nanotech reconstruction system

-Leather trim interior

-Custom paint job with racing stripes

I think a lot of these suggestions are great but many of them sacrifice the core aim of the Nap BoxTM, which is to facilitate a good nap. It should have GPS guidance but only for recall, to be activated upon the user's awakening.

Maybe some floats too.

Next version of the sleeping box? Easy. Remove the solar panels, the GPS system, the batteries, the sun sensor, all wiring/electronics/nuclear power (You know Wolf put that in there), and wheels. On second thought, the most important item of all, DON'T LET WOLF NEAR THE BOX!!!

As for Nap BoxV2... something like an uber-tech hamster ball/gyrosphere, only lion-sized. :D

But really, wouldn’t it be easier to build something that tracks the light and reflects it to a target point (the box) so that the napper (and box) doesn’t move, just the reflection apparatus? O_o

I like typhoon's ideas... instead of adding features to take away "unwanted" functions, add features to expand upon those new uses. And lol M.Organ
