She should be watching Good Eats instead, it actually teaches you how to cook rather than just giving you a recipe to try and follow.

Chef John on YouTube is another really good option, depending on the recipe. You'll have to decide yourself if its too advanced, but its pretty obvious if he starts busting out really strange terms. Most times its broken down nicely. He shows the technique to making said recipe more then concentrating on the recipe in the video. There's a blogpost for the recipe for a reason.

Yeah, thankful there is a pause button now. Back in the day you had to try and keep up with the cook shows like Jessie did, or try to remember it all......and one missing "butter the pan" instruction was all it would take for something to turn into a flaming pile of charcoal XD

I wonder if there would eventually be a parody of the cooking show Good Eats on here. Even if it's the newer version of the show.

@Kangaar I'm pretty sure it's a parody of Jamie Oliver, a Food Network star from the early 2000s, started with the show "The Naked Chef".

@Soriac Ain't it the truth? I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched a TV chef start cooking a meal and, in the middle of cooking it, would show that he/she had the meal already completed and was just waiting to bring it out. When I would see that, the air around me would turn blue from the bad language.

@Adam or they used type of pan and combination of ingredient states which wasn't requiring buttering BUT they never would tell you that.

@Shockwave07: I sense some impending irony...somehow, Wolf manages to bring in a palatable and edible dish that he somehow managed to cook, by himself, with a minimum of collateral damage...

...Largely because his kitchen is too full of his other engineering projects for him to make a new one.

So of course, he'd be the only one not satisfied with the result.

I wonder if Jamie Oliveotter, based on the fact that his show is 30 minute meals & Olives are native to Italy, that he might be inspired by Racheal Ray of the Adirondacks, New York fame. Her Shows 30-minute Meal on Food Network and The Racheal Ray Show, now in Season 17, on NBC proper has been very long-running & deep-rooted shows. However, I doubt the creator of this Webcomic would comment on this.
