The gang plays the tabletop version of Werewolf, a.k.a. Mafia/Killer/Assassin. There actually is a full moon and a partial lunar eclipse tonight, so it's only natural it has an effect on Steph.

@soriac Wolf was one of the two selected "werewolves" in the game. Basically, everyone is assigned their roles (villager, seer, doctor, werewolf) by the card in front of them. Here are the rules for this version of Werewolf.

There's no "couples" costumes, but there are definitely some pairings.

I have a copy of "Donner Dinner Party", a version of werewolf with a different... flavor.

That traffic cone (which had better not be off my work truck, Wolf.) looks an awful lot like candy corn to Were Steph.... XD Phil has an OFA 3 bag close by,I'm guessing. Obvious reasons are blatantly obvious......

Were Steph is really cute in Were form. ^^

As students, we'd played Mafia version of this game a lot. One friend of mine was really good at lying and persuading people - when playing Mafia member, the Mafia won almost every time. He also quickly identified the people who lied to him. Later in life, he became a judge :D Thanks, Jan for reminding me the good old times.

I'm rather fond of One Night Werewolf, which is more of a logic puzzle than the standard version. There are various roles that let you mess with the roles and cards, so you may have gone to bed a werewolf, but wake up a villager - and not know it.

For the 'standard' Werewolf, the game Lupus in Tabula is quite good, as it has extra roles, my favorite of which is the Were-Hamster. It will win if it is alive when ANY victory condition is reached, but dies if the Seer looks at it during the night.

After reading through the Werewolf rules, one thing comes to mind...how come Jan has his eyes closed? Presumably, he's the Moderator.

Wolf suddenly has flashbacks to his early childhood: baby Wolf playing with his toys too loudly on the full moon and Were Steph starts mauling him; toddler Wolf building one of his first experiments and get on Were Steph's nerves, another mauling; 4 year old Wolf being put to sleep with his favorite stuffy, you guessed it, another mauling.

@FreeFlier: given how bones work…after a lot of breaks, his bones probably look like reinforced concrete! Bone healing and remodeling is seriously cool, especially for martial arts…you do multiple firm strikes on a makawara (sp?) board to induce microfractures and build bone density.

Also, every time I hear about people playing “werewolf,” I ask “can I bring in my Child of Gaia Ahroun?”
