Whats even better is that every book and article they have is also stored on a digital system. Too bad only political figures can use it.

Heh, I think I was one of the last generation that actually went to the library for those things called books. You know the information containment devices that do not need electricity to function! =^^=

Sad but true! I'm not some Luddite, but books are far more reliable for research. Also, I love the tactile sensation of holding something physical in my hand as I read it.

Advantages and Disadvantages of each:

Books: +)Doesn't need electricity. +)Doesn't Lag... -)Can be a pain in the butt to try and find what you need sometimes... Internet: ((See above, in reverse))

@Tbolt: Depends, how old are you? I still go to my local library to read books, although I've read everything interesting they have in their Sci-Fi/Fantasy section (which is the majority of what I read for enjoyment), though it's been a while since the last time I thoroughly browsed it so it's possible they have some new ones.

@Razmoudah: My college years are two decades behind me. Computers were just getting into the swing of things. I remember being huddled down in the basement with the text terminals looking up some stuff on the old tex message boards...

Heh, I burned through the local library's sci-fi section pretty good too! I must admit, that when I get the yen to read paper, I visit Half-Price books... =^^=

Oh yeah, I do that too, go to the library to use my laptop when I'm at home, much better connection. However I do enjoy reading a lot and especially historical facts. I LOL when I saw the last panel, good one Jan.Love both your creations CC & S&S.

Well, lucky for you Razmoudah, besides it gets me out of the house and some fresh air. And I always look in the library's DVD and movies section to see what's new.

@Logan10701 The joke is that he made such a big deal about the collection of books that built the foundation of our civilization, and they go in and sit down at workstations to use the Internet, bypassing the books altogether, y'see.

I like going to libraries to read and borrow books - it nearly gives the librarians heart attacks to see someone in their twenties not wanting to use a computer >:3

I've never used the computers at the library except to look up the location of a book.I can use a card catalog but they hide those away in awkward corners these days and they're slow and cumbersome anyways.
