Though they do seem to be doing things the hard way - would a pitchfork with a shortened handle help or hinder? Unless these be ol' fashioned adventurers who just like getting in there and getting mucky!

Yay, comic's back, and with a new band of misfits, err, heroes to start with.

And why would someone toss an important object into a swamp? It's possibly the same reason why such objects are never kept in the most secure safe of the kingdom, but put in a big castle past the sea of despair and the dunes of death, behind the gates of giveaway (locked by the seven keys of courage) in the middle of dragons hall of endgames on a brightly lit pedestal :-)

@Quynn This was originally a 7-panel page, but I had to split it into two for it was very squished. The punchline is on the next page...

@soriac Or probably because it's easier to chuck something into a bog than to have entire construction crews building said dragon halls in the first place ;)

Maybe it's just because this comic doesn't have smell-o-vision, but seeing those four rooting through the bog is oddly relaxing.

Why in a swamp? Its perfectly preserved and also it so lost that not even the creator remembers where it is. The perfect security measure! (unless someone rolls a natural 20 on a spot/perception check)

So how important to Tor and Silver's story are these four?

It is also way out of context if the last panel was first. The dialog being closer in time and spatially to the "ewwugh nasty" text. Maybe the one who is complaining is wonder why he isn't getting "one".
