Sehlats have way too much sense of duty, so I would have taken the sword with me if it insisted. I would just hope no personal loss, martyrdom or too much gore is involved in wielding the mighty sword. I just had the mental image of Silver holding the sword up, powerful forces coursing through it turning her into a muscular hero and Tor into a mighty saddled battle cat.

@McClaw I think she's more disappointed herself that it wasn't a giant axe.

@Sonic Wolfe Hahaha, I've trashed so many "legendary" weapons in games because of bad stats. "Only +40% crit damage? Wtf is this?"

Part of me thinks that the sword will come in handy later in the comic... I don't think we've heard enough of the "Master-crying Sword"...

I would choose the dragon over the sword, too. At least the dragon hasn't spoken yet, that's a big plus considering the swords manners.

But I wonder what the griffin babies will say, now that someone other has called dibs on "Uncle Dinner" :-)

If I were a magic sword, I would have people fill out a questionare to determine a level of compatibility. If they were compatible and decided to leave me behind, I would try to guilt them into picking me up anyway, at least until somebody else who was even more compatible came along.

Hmmn...Silver was willing to drink someone under the table for an oversized singing axe, but not take the sword? Drat. I was hoping she'd take it and go back to town for that bikini armor to match it. :b Of course that sword wasn't a match for Tor...I'm betting he'd rather look for something akin to Gut's "Dragonslayer" (IE: "Berserk")...that would be more of his self imaged style!

Ah well it wasn't the best prophecy anyway. Now they're free to make their own! One that doesn't involve the four adventurers sacrificing themselves.

This prophecy was "double edged" anyway, say for an ambush. What would anyone choose for, a silent Dragon or an everbabbling sword? ^^

@Blinkey A prophecy is like a cell phone contract. You're locked in for what seems an eternity and the early termination fees are pretty steep. ;)

There's probably another prophecy that overrides the first prophecy. You'd need to get a good prophecy lawyer to sort it all out.

Also, the dragon is my new favorite character. Not that I'm biased. XD

You know, maybe she is better off without deadly weapons. Somehow I just can't see Silver (or Tor, for that matter), hacking some poor guy up with an angry sword. The thought is a little disturbing.

My only guess is that she was shocked that she was able to pull the sword from the stone and was a bit unnerved by it.

Come to think about it, Tor and Silver don't particularly like being heroes. I wonder why.

The other day, I came across a cat who behaved like the dragon. Needed the owner to get her off me. Worse than any dog. Wondering whether the dragon is a fluffy cat in love reborn? ;-) Or an enchanted damsel in distress who thinks Tor might be a different kind of knight to save her from (being) a dragon. @Amaroq Damn, I wish I had the money and the computer at the time for some better Mechwarrior stuff...I finished the Wolf campaign on MW2.

@Jan, @drivernjax: Wish I could get my Tipmann A5 tested to work again. Unfortunately I modified it for accuracy and feel and made it frigging HUGE! (The thing looks like a G36 assault rifle, and all I wanted was a stable plaftform which maximized accuracy for the legal muzzle velocity. The stock stabilizes nicely into the shoulder, and the hammerhead rifled barrel maximizes accuracy per round...but I don't need to look like I'm overcompensating, and the large marker is a huge target!)

@Jan Pulling the sword was the the beginning anyway. Leaving it was her choice though. If this a steretypical prophecy it would keep going regardless sword is there or not :P

Silver didn't really want the sword she just pulled it. She left it because she out of indifference. She didn't want the sword to be a slave to her. Jan should not have put it back but tossed it, or left it out of the hole. Maybe then it could be free of the prophecy. She could of angrily put it back for insulting HER TIGER.

Why is Bapple playing guess who as the leave? It is Dangerous to not see where on is going. Is Tor giving up trying to leave the dragon or is the dragon giving up on being the guardian to the sword. maybe both?

It is possible she took the cue to abandon the sword from the dragon when she looked into its eyes.
