The noses always in the wrong places. Still this is the Silver/Tor way to introduce yourself with others through lots of running n SPLAM!

OKay all honesty I love the little details like the dragon snapping at the apple just as Silver bumps it back up and the look of our hero's face as the dragon eats the apple...and maybe a few fingers.

So gotta ask Jan the question, is the look on the leopard's face in the last panel due to Silver's proximity to sensitive materials or the fact that a dragon just enveloped his hand with its mouth?

Also, that spotty fella is extremely sturdy. Either that, or Sliver weighs like... three stone. (Or if she's anything like the Pomeranian we had, she weighs the normal weight, but the sheer volume of fluff in her fur makes her defy the laws of physics and weigh "nothing".)

@Joseph Collins: Naah, that's just preservation of momentum like a newtons cradle :-) You can see his big axe flinging away. This took away the majority of the momentum, and Cless was able to take the rest. That's just physics :-) Well, in comics, anyway....

@Jan: hehe, how did you get the word "mampf"? I didn't know this is a common word in the english speaking population, too :-)

@piedunk He did catch the apple with his left hand. Most right-handed people catch things with their left and vice versa. LOL.

@MishaFox Perhaps the dragon saw the leopard catch the apple and slowed a bit. Despite what Yosemite Sam says, dragons ain't so stupid. LOL.

@MishaFox , the dragon has air brakes. He can just spread his wings to slow down or stop. Poor Silver only has her nose to absorb the impact. Ouch.

Cheetah dude has some strength in his left arm though. He is able to hold the little draggie off the ground (though I suspect said draggie's tail may be "assisting").

I think the axe he's carrying helped him stay on his feet, similar to how the desk toy with the metal balls works, when one is released, the one on the other end is knocked away, that's why the cat no longer has the axe on his back after Silver hit him. The part I don't understand is why he pushes her away... The dragon I can understand, my character on FurryMUck was a dragon and could stand upright on his tail, despite a weight that was measured on industrial scales...

@ Sammy "Of course, it would help if the dragon was at least a meter taller." I believe this is a rather young dragon. I can well imagine Rwarry (LOL. I still love that name.) could grow into a rather large dragon, perhaps at least 3 meters at the shoulder and at least 5+ meters in length. Now, THAT would be a dragon worth having as an ally.

@Mike, the axe and Cless in a kind of Newton's Cradle thing could explain the loud " SPLAM " noise, imagine the sound of a large, razor-sharp gong. @drivernjax, do you suppose the statue in the field of swords is life size ? Big tough guy. How much could a ten ton dragon bench press ?

To me it looks more like Silver might have gotten clonked in that run in with that guys armor and may possibly be dazed or unconscious. Her nose may have simply collapsed there... her body language and shape at the last panel looks more like "collapsed in a heap" than "puppy sniffing a greeting".
