I wonder what Silver's defense would've been, other than to flash the Queen and the court? :P

Has the sheriff had an epiphany?

We know he dislikes the trouble the duo makes for him, but for him to be concerned about the unconscious Tor and him stepping up to Silver's defense, to the surprise of Silver, speaks volumes of his internal thought processes.

This going to get real interesting really fast.

2nd panel...looks like Wolfram on the far right. :)

Looks like momma dragon is taking an interest in the proceedings in panel #4.

In panel #5 we now know Keila (did I spell that right?) wasn't merged with her by the artifact.

Panel #8...surprise! :^O The sheriff seemed out to get Tor and Silver, so it'll be interesting to see what changed his mind. Silver looks definitely shocked.

I'm sorry to say, but the Queen has Tor and Silver dead to rights on four of those counts. The only count with any wiggle room is the 5th one, as the whole bunny episode was purely an accident.

I'd say I'm surprised... but seeing as how Tor and Silver have legitimately saved lives, if not the kingdom, that more than anything likely convinced the sheriff.

They both had absolutely zero control over panels 3 and 4 (and panel 3 is risking a riot). Panel 5 is unjust, panel 6 was a ludicrous accident and in no way intentional. Plus, they tried to help fix it. Panel 2 . . . yeah, alright, that one's fair.

But I think if anyone has any sway over the royal judgements, it'll be the Sheriff. They may aggravate him, but I think he knows quite well that the pair don't have a malicious bone in their bodies, and wants to see them treated fairly.

I think these arrogant, ungrateful "royalty" needs a comeuppance fast. Maybe both be turned into rabbits and left there.

They didn't kidnap the king, the plonker hopped away to avoid his own children: admittedly, they may have inadvertently been responsible for his bunnificationing, but they were also the ones who managed to find him and bring him back

Silver didn't come up with that Prophecy, and she's been trying to avoid it as much as she can...

Also...out of the charges, the petty theft and escaping are the only things Silver actually did. Everything else happened to her.

The Sheriff's testimony is going to be interesting to say the least. It has to be spectacularly if he's going to stand up for them.

Silver : petty theft and escaping arrest guilty the rest not guilty. The Blasphemous prophecy is only that way because it is not your religion. The dragon I have no control over. The king was not kidnapped. Will preform sex to pay for my crimes.

The barbarians actually commendered Silver and Tor. They had no control over the dragon. The King wasn't kidnapped he ran away from the children when he was a Rabbit and happen to find himself in peril. Silver is shocked that the sheriff stood up for her. The King for some reason hates Silver and Tor.

For some weird reason, I get the mental image of Silver flashing the court, the Queen glaring at her, then popping open her own robe a moment, followed by her continuing with the charges as if nothing had happened. It also occurs to me that 'indecent exposure' isn't one of the charges in the list... :-)
